KNOW YOUR MATERIAL

Build the project around your feedstock

Customer-supplied materials and suitable secondary streams can be assessed. The starting point is the known composition, previous use and preparation needs of the proposed material.

  1. 01

    Feedstock and formulation

Establish what is known about the input material and agree the sorting, preparation and formulation needed for a meaningful trial.

  2. 02

    Geometry and testing

Define the trial-panel dimensions, structural configuration and test requirements. Results apply to the material, formulation and geometry assessed.

  3. 03

    Development responsibilities

Ocean Material contributes feedstock knowledge and sourcing support. MeSentia contributes forming technology and structural design; the customer’s application requirements guide the development scope.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Your next questions, answered.

Key distinctions for a well-defined material enquiry.

Can my feedstock be assessed?

Share its known composition, previous use, preparation and available quantities, together with the proposed application. Suitability is assessed before defining a trial.

What panel structures can be explored?

Ribbed and hollow-core configurations, depending on the feedstock, formulation, tooling and development project.

Link to this question

Are standard panel grades or load ratings available?

This is a prototype development offer. Dimensions, structural performance and test requirements are established for the selected design.

Link to this question

Must the material have a maritime origin?

Origin depends on the project feedstock. The pictured panel is not presented as having a confirmed maritime origin.
