KNOW YOUR MATERIAL

Define the specification as recovery develops

Cable recovery is underway in the Mediterranean. Initial material analyses have been completed for selected recovered fractions. Recycling capacity is now being developed for the recovered materials, with material qualification, sample scope and supply planning coordinated for each enquiry.

  1. 01

    Material properties

Melt flow, density, mechanical properties and processing conditions must be established for the material being assessed. No single specification covers both cable-polymer listings.

  2. 02

    Origin and batch information

Review the available origin and batch documentation for the selected material. Individual recovery locations and processing details are clarified with the supply partners.

  3. 03

    Samples and supply planning

Sample quantities, costs and dispatch timing are confirmed individually. Regular commercial volumes and delivery schedules remain under development.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Your next questions, answered.

Key distinctions for a well-defined material enquiry.

Where does the material originate?

Decommissioned subsea cables being recovered from the Mediterranean. The confirmed material-origin category is Europe.
