Circular Materials for Global Industry

Verified marine and coastal material streams, prepared for industrial applications and transparent circular supply chains.

The Ocean Impact Range

Explore post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR) in pellet and flake form, recycled yarns and seaweed-based materials for industrial applications.

With our industrial partners, we develop material streams, qualify compounds and bring materials into applications.

Made with Ocean Material gives qualified materials and finished products a recognisable identity, supported by documented origin and traceable supply chains.

Ocean Material Innovation

Deep-Sea Cable Recovery. New Material Possibilities.

Ocean Material is opening a new material stream from retired deep-sea cables. Together with specialist recovery partners, cable recovery is now underway. Initial material analyses have already been completed for selected recovered fractions.

Recycling capacity is now being developed to turn recovered cable components into traceable materials for industry. These components include HDPE and LDPE, copper, steel and optical fibres. Material qualification and recycling capacity are progressing; regular commercial supply remains under development.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear, technical insights into sourcing, traceability, and performance of Ocean Material circular materials.

How do I choose a recycled material for my application?

Share your intended product, processing method, performance requirements, required quantity and delivery destination. Ocean Material helps compare suitable material options, align the specification and coordinate samples for evaluation. See application examples and contact our team to discuss your project.

What should I send if I already know the material and specification?

Include the polymer, form, grade or key specification, colour, required origin or documentation, quantity and delivery destination. Reference the product name or SKU when available. We review material selection, available technical documentation and sourcing requirements for the selected grade; TDS and detailed specifications are available on request.

Can you help with difficult mixed-plastic feedstock or a new material application?

Tell us about the feedstock and intended product. Our technology overview explains the development approach, while lightweight structural panels are a prototype offer for selected projects, not an established standard supply.

What is the difference between ocean-bound plastic and recycled fishing nets?

Ocean-bound plastics are collected near coastlines before entering the ocean, while fishing nets are recovered after marine use.

How does Ocean Material verify traceability?

Through certified sourcing systems and documented supply chain tracking.

What makes deep sea cable recovery unique?

Cable recovery is underway with specialist recovery partners. Initial material analyses have been completed for selected recovered fractions, and recycling capacity is now being developed for the recovered materials. Recovered components include polymers, copper, steel and optical fibres. Regular commercial supply remains under development.

How does Ocean Material differ from others?

It integrates sourcing, certification, and industrial processing.

Can CRS materials be used industrially?

Suitable feedstocks can be assessed for industrial application development. Composition, preparation, formulation and product testing determine whether a selected stream is suitable; the current panel offer is at prototype stage.

Are life cycle assessments available for every material?

Life cycle assessments (LCAs) are available for selected materials and production sites within our partner network, not for every product, grade or supply chain. Tell us about your application, performance requirements and sourcing needs. We will review the available environmental data with our partners and help identify suitable material options for your project.
